Keeping it honest! Wonderful reminders for yogis of all
Most yoga practiced in the U.S. is Hatha yoga (yoga that links breath, pranayama, and postures, asanas). Alignment-based Hatha was greatly influenced by B.K.S. Iyengar who brought the practice and study of yoga poses to Western culture. This class uses props throughout to assist in ensuring that the body is properly aligned while also maintaining steady breath and a calm spirit to experience poses in a deeper way. Suitable for all practice levels.
Helpful props to have handy: A chair without arms; two yoga blocks; a belt or strap 6-8ft in length (the longer the better!), a blanket or beach towel; and a yoga mat.
