We're just wild about Dottie!
Here's what her students have to say about her classes:

Maureen M., San Francisco, CA

Dottie is a must-go-to teacher for ANYONE who wants to tap.
Her beginning class is supportive, fun and she clearly explains the sounds. The advanced class (Level 2) keeps a ‘somewhat limited’ tapper (me!) on my toes; that class also is really well taught. Dottie is my 4th tap teacher over the last 20 plus years and I’m so glad I found her.”

Margot

“As a hearing-impaired person taking zoom classes is better in a significant way for me because I can hear the teacher’s instructions in a way that I cannot in the classroom. Bluetooth earbuds greatly enhance the ability to hear as compared to hearing aids.”

John L., West Boylston, MA

“Dottie’s tap classes are a ‘blast’!
Dottie is a wonderful teacher, both in her knowledge and in her engaging, encouraging personality.
She is very patient and determined to make sure that every student in the class learns the new steps and can do them correctly before moving ahead…even via Zoom!! Dottie has great warm-up exercises, and incorporates in the warm-up new steps from the routine she is teaching, so there is always a review of those new steps before putting them in context of the routine again.
The tap class is a wonderful way to ‘treat yourself’ to some ‘me time’…it is both physically and mentally engaging and challenging. The Zoom format also puts less pressure on the student, as you aren’t dancing in front of a studio mirror that everybody can watch, and nobody can hear your taps while you are doing the class in your own environment. Despite the fact that nobody can hear your tap sounds, Dottie always reminds you to be sure to hear the correct number of taps, and she knows when people might be “taking a short cut” and not getting the correct tap sounds.
It is a wonderful hour alone, but also with some great “fellow” students and a great teacher. Highly recommended!!! ‘Tap your troubles away.’ “

Irene T., San Jose, CA

Dottie is a great and very patient teacher. I’ve always wanted to pick up tap classes again and here was my opportunity. She is able to observe from her garage afar and make corrections as needed. I’m really getting a good workout and having fun at the same time!”
